In his current role as Marketing Manager Acquisition Systems with Sony of Canada, Brian is responsible for the planning, introduction, marketing and product support for the complete range of production acquisition cameras and peripherals, including Digital Cinema, Broadcast, Professional and Prosumer models for the Canadian market.
Brian possesses a strong practical production background combined with a high degree of technical and operations knowledge with over 25 years of industry experience. His primary focus has been in the areas of Acquisition products and Post Production, and he has been instrumental in the introduction of High Definition products to Canada. In fact Brian worked on the first HD tests in Canada in 1988 when the CBC was developing the world's first HD series ”Chasing Rainbows”.
A noted speaker, trainer, presenter and panelist, Brian is also a long standing member of SMPTE and CICA.
