WOMEN x WOMEN
WOMEN x WOMEN debuted in March 2009 as the first photography exhibit to ever be a part of LG Fashion Week in Toronto, featuring the top female fashion photographers in Canada. The event was founded with the intention to draw awareness to the unique perspective of women in an industry dominated by the male gaze, and to highlight Canada's top female fashion photographers as celebrity role models. With Fashion Television as the presenting media sponsor and coverage by over 40 outlets in Canada, the hugely popular event generated millions of impressions and much discussion.

As part of EXPOSURE 2010, the Calagary Banff Canmore Photography festival, you can meet Larry Towell at our Vistek Calgary Location for a book signing.
The business card of award-winning photojournalist Larry Towell reads “Human
Being”. A graduate of York University, Larry became a freelance photographer in
1984. His many projects include coverage of the Nicaraguan contra war, the relatives
of the “Disappeared” of Guatemala, a major story on the Palestinians, Hurricane
Katrina’s aftermath and the Mennonites in Mexico. His work has been exhibited
across Europe and North America and has appeared in such international magazines
as The New York Times, Rolling Stone, LIFE, GEO and Stern. He has received numerous
awards including Picture of the Year, and has published a number of photo books.
Larry became a member of Magnum in 1993, the first Canadian photographer to
receive this honour.
Born in rural Ontario, Larry Towell is also a gifted poet, musician and
writer. You can meet this remarkable human being at Vistek where he
will be available for book signings.

Print in the Mix 2009 “I Need It Yesterday”
This event will maintain a theme of "I NEED IT YESTERDAY!" and will identify how the accelerated rate of change in business and marketing in the current economic climate is fast-forwarding demands on the printing industry.
Print in the Mix is a unique event created specifically to satisfy the needs of “print buyers”. This conference is designed for marketers, graphic designers, production personnel, and anyone involved in the creation or purchase of print media.
