price/performance ratio can't be beat

If you are like me and don't have the funds yet for the 70-200 F2.8 prime, buy yourself this one in the meantime. It focuses fast, it's sharp at most focal length's, super light and the VR function really does work wonders when shooting handheld. I'm amazed at the price/performance ratio of this lens. Nothing can touch it at it's price point.
