Nice lens

This is a relatively new offering from Nikon and it replaces an earlier lens that's been around for years.
As a macro lens it's a high quality and it's fast and will focus quickly too. However it doesn't have an image stabilizer. If you are doing copy work or subjects that don't move while you mount the camera on a tripod, this is an excellent lens. However if you plan to do macro work hand help in the field, you mway want to consider spending a bit more money for the 105 mm macro lens. It would make more sense.
Note as well that you can't easily use this lens on a bellows, it has no aperture ring. So you could only use it on minimum aperture.
