Finally! A fast prime for the DX format!

This is a great little lens for the DX format. It's nice and light, build quality isn't middling, and it auto-focuses rather quickly and very accurately on my D40. The 35mm on the DX translates to approximately a 53mm field-of-view, which is almost exactly as the classic 50mm on full-frame film, which is nice to have without having to use a mid-zoom alternative.
This lens is great for street-photography, or for low-light snapping.
