good buy , the lens included isn't exactly perfect ,but it's a rounded lens meant for any job but not made to specialize in a certain area. But i think thats good for the base for me because I have no lens to begin with , now I can think about getting a telephoto lens for storm chasing and I need the some simple accessories that will improve quality of shots, the button layout is well done and easily figured out , if your used to using your manual mode. the button placement can be confusing at first but as you adapt you can switch settings very quickly with ease. i never really bothered with the other settings on the dial I'm a manual mode only type guy. one quirk I have is the preset lighting adjusters, you know tungsten , floro etc..... sometimes they're off and in a situation with florescent lighting I'm using cloudy mode to get accurate lighting. the auto focus does the job thats fore sure, but trying to manual focus in Live view can be a wast of time , better doing it the old fashion way. the live view though is great for previewing hat the shot will look like until the exposures reach a second or longer it doesn't change after I find. good noise reduction but not AMAZING , I'm picky though so it should please a lot of people, at 1600 iso it looks lick point and clicks at 200. A storm can bring out Nasty noise in Cameras so that will be the best test this year. An overall awesome camera with loads of features for the price range , the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the lack of video cam mode, I know a lot of people think they have no place on slr's but they can be a usefull feature.
