Our technician, Dustin, found that you need to push the paper down so it visually goes under the rollers. Otherwise, you may experience paper loading error problems.

beautiful prints come from Epson 4900

I started inkjet printing with the Epson 2200 back in 2003. I have printed with every generation of Epson printers since. I bought the 4900 couple of months ago. The combination of print technology and HDR inks in the 4900 produces print of a quality so much more refined than even from three years ago. When combined with the current generation of Epson papers; hot and cold press and exhibition fiber, the Dmax, the range of tonality and depth perception of the prints are outstanding. All of this print potential can be realized when operating in a end-to-end colour managed environment and taking full advantage of the digital darkroom software.
How fortunate are we as photographers having come so far from what now feels like primitive technology; the wet darkroom or Velvia 50 slides, is just a decade!
Epson 4900 is a marvelous printer.

Pro's:
-Excellent flexibility - produces both stunning color and b+w images and accepts the full gamut of epson papers
-Great price for what you get
-Had some difficulty in the beginning learning everything, but once I got used to the printer I would say it is very user friendly.
Con's:
-Don't kid yourself, this printer is massive for a 17" paper path - ultimately what you lose in desk space, you gain in ease of use (loading roll paper, sheet feed etc) so it's not that bad.
