The Jobu Design FB-SM2 Sidemount Flash Bracket is a compact and lightweight flash bracket designed for use with sidemount-type gimbal heads (e.g. Jobu Jr. 2, BWG-LW, Kirk King Cobra, Mongoose, etc.). This bracket attaches via its spring-loaded Arca-type quick release clamp. In order for this bracket to be used simultaneously together with a sidemount camera bracket, use of a "double-dovetail" plate is required. Many of the newer mounting plates feature this design (e.g. Surefoot plates, RRS, Kirk, Wimberley, etc.).

The FB-SM2 centers the flash at approximately 3" from the mounting surface of the tripod collar-foot. This makes it suitable for 300mm F4, 100-400mm zoom, 400 F5.6 and other smaller lenses. It can also be used as a convenient hand-held flash bracket for birding.

Note: Flash shoe not compatible with Nikon SC-29 cord.
