The AE Prism Finder offers the photographer the creative flexibility of switching between Center Weighted Average Metering or Spot Metering.
Center Weighted Average Metering, even with the most diverse subject contrasts, ensures a well balanced exposure. The camera measures light intensity with emphasis on the subject in the center of the viewfinder, while the brightness of the surroundings are is also taken into account to determine exposure value. This is the most ideal metering method for fast action shots.
In Spot Metering, the camera measures only the subject brightness in the center of the viewfinder (microprism area) to determine the exposure value.
The Prism Finder is also equipped with a quick shoe adapter, built-in diopter correction, and eyepiece shutter.
