TrayFree™ Trayless Technology for RTX™ Enclosures
WiebeTech's TrayFree bays make installing drives a breeze. It really is as easy as opening the door, sliding the drive in, and closing the door. No screws, no trays, it just works.
Fast Performance
Alone, each of the eight JBOD bays in RTX800-NJ can deliver to 100 MB/s (drive dependent) through one of two MultiLane SAS/SATA (SFF-8470) connectors. The real speed, however, comes when you pair RTX800-NJ with a RAID host card. Our PCIe host card provides dual MultiLane SAS/SATA (SFF-8470) ports, and allows for data transfers of up to 700MB/s.
RAID - For when failure is not an option
The many RAID options available with RTX give you the power to choose exactly how safe you want your data to be, and RAIDing with RTX is a piece of cake. Configure as RAID 5, or even as a RAID 5 with a hot spare. If you don't know what these terms mean, check out our RAID FAQ.
RTX - Cool and Portable
The enclosure's quiet, dual 8cm fans keep the drives cool in its attractive aluminum case. Like all RTX enclosures, the 800-NJ has a handle for easy movement.
What is MultiLane SAS/SATA?
MultiLane SAS/SATA is a cabling method for combining multiple eSATA cables into one cable, capable of moving data very quickly. Dual MultiLane ports on RTX800-NJ provide one of the fastest connections available.

SAS TeracCard The RTX800-NJ bundle with SAS TeraCard RAID host card will give you what you need for speeds up to 700MB/s. The TeraCard PCIE-2XR host card features dual SAS ports, and provides RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 4, 5, JBOD. The bundle also includes two MultiLane SAS/SATA (SFF-8470) to SAS cables.
