Great Head, Annoying to Attach

I have had this head for about 2 weeks now. It's a solid head that keeps my d300 with a 105mm macro lens (my heaviest lens) as still as a tripod should. One issue I have is that the head is a bit heavier then I'd like. Another annoyance is that to screw the plate on to the camera you require a quarter or a flat head screwdriver to tighten it. You could just leave the plate on your camera, but the plate is a bit too big to make handholding comfortable. I really like the quick release on the base plate, and the two levels definitely come in handy. The separate pan control is also a great feature. Inspite of the weight and the attachment issues I'm am still quite pleased with this head, and the ease of use that it provides when shooting.
