I bought this off the Joby US website a while back, and with shipping, customs charge/GST/PST it was over $40 Canadian! (To say nothing about the 2-week wait). So, your price is very reasonable...
As to the product, it's everything they say, and I use it on my Canon SD450 all the time--it makes for a better grip and more stable 'platform' for all my shots. Wouldn't recommend for larger cameras, though...

Just bought it. Works great! This thing is so light I will take it everywhere. Many times I've been stuck balancing my camera on a rock or a shelf with mixed results. I took some pictures that I just couldn't get into position for as well as pictures of me. Love it.

I just bought the tripod for my canon digital camera and it ROCKS!!! I could wrap it around anything and it would never fall off but i do not reccomend using it with a SLR camera.
