Once he completed his Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Southern California, Greg Gorman set off in establishing his masterful career. Four decades later, Greg Gorman continues to master the art of photography. From celebrity portraits and advertising campaigns to magazine layouts and fine art work, Greg Gorman is preeminent in every category he delves in. His extraordinary success can be attributed to the ‘Gorman look’. Greg has developed and showcased a discriminating and unique style in his profession. Greg’s work documents that peculiar obsession of the 21st century celebrity. Each shot gives a picture of human nature in its infinite range. Each picture is also a testament to the individual character. “For me a photograph is most successful when it doesn’t answer all the questions,” says Gorman, “but leaves something to the imagination.”

In recognition of his many highly-successful published books, for his many charitable works, and for his virtuoso contribution to the world of photography, Greg has been awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Professional Photographer’s of America, the Achievement in Portraiture Award from The Lucie Foundation and the Pacific Design Center Stars of Design Award. Greg currently divides his time between his homes in Los Angeles and Mendocino, California, where in addition to focusing on photography, his tenacious curiosity has led him into the world of wine making, where he collaborates with Orin Swift Cellars.

The Betty Oliphant Theatre is located in a former red-brick century home. It is a training and performance venue for Canada’s National Ballet School and an important venue for small and mid-sized dance and theatre companies. It has a large stage, the same size as the Four Season’s Centre stage, with a sprung dance floor, 260 retractable seats, and orchestra pit and excellent sound and light systems.
