NEW - Nikon Z 5 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera

Your full-frame journey begins with the Z 5. Simple yet sophisticated, compact yet powerful, the Z 5 is built to grow with you. It’s everything you’d expect from a full-frame mirrorless camera—intense detail, expansive views, brilliant low light capabilities, 4K UHD video, and more—plus all the innovative tools you need to push the limits of your creativity.
Harness the entire view of expansive full-frame lenses, and capture over 50% more image area than crop-sensor cameras. Z 5’s 24.3 MP full-frame CMOS sensor produces intensively detailed images, lifelike 4K UHD video, ultra-shallow depth-of-field, and particularly clean low-light shots.

Super powered.

Z 5 is powered by Nikon’s fast, comprehensive EXPEED 6 image processing system. It’s the secret behind the camera’s sensational photo and video quality, autofocus performance, low-light capabilities, distortion control, image clarity, color reproduction and more.

The stability you crave.

Sharpness starts with stability, and Z 5 has one of the best in-camera image stabilization systems available. NIKKOR Z lenses activate 5-axis VR image stabilization—up to five stops* of stabilization in up to five directions: yaw, pitch, roll, X and Y. Compatible F-Mount NIKKOR lenses**—even those without built-in VR—activate 3-axis VR image stabilization. Great for stills, even better for video.

In the blink of an iris.

Freeze time with shutter speeds as fast as 1/8000 of a second—fast enough to capture moments invisible to the naked eye. When shooting with wide aperture settings for shallow depth-of-field and blurred backgrounds, that speed can also be used to control your shot’s brightness.

Nikon Z 7 - The ultimate in modern full-frame imaging.

Nikon's vision has always been to create cameras and lenses that capture more light. More light means more detail. More speed. More possibilities. The Z 7 brings that vision to life (and then some).

At home in your hands

A deep grip design and balanced weight feel great with both NIKKOR lenses and the Mount Adapter FTZ. Buttons and dials are comfortably placed - features like the sub-selector and AF-On button are in the same position as the D850. Unmistakably Nikon.

Flagship Nikon durability

A skeleton forged from ultra-strong Magnesium Alloy, the same material used in the D850 and D5 for its extreme durability and incredible strength-to-weight ratio. The same brake mechanism and shutter blade material used in the D850, tested for 200,000 cycles while actually loaded in the camera. The Z 7 is ready for the field.

Big performance. Small footprint

One of the major benefits of the Z 7's thin 16mm flange back distance is that cameras can be made smaller and lighter. The Z 7 is 26% lighter than the D850, yet it maintains outstanding handling and balance, even when using telephoto F-Mount NIKKOR lenses. It's as comfortable to carry as it is to shoot with.

The forecast is: It doesn't matter

Like the D850 and other high-end Nikon DSLRs, The Z 7 is extremely weather sealed against dust and moisture, as are NIKKOR Z lenses and the Mount Adapter FTZ. No need to baby this camera.

So many possibilities...

Great glass endures. That's why Nikon cameras—from the Nikon F in 1959 all the way to D850—have remained compatible with nearly all F-mount NIKKOR lenses. Why would things be any different with the Nikon Z? The Mount Adapter FTZ lets you keep shooting the lenses you know and love while also gaining the benefits of the new Z system. The legacy of compatibility continues.

On a Z camera, every lens has VR.

For the first time, you can experience fast aperture NIKKOR primes like the AF-S NIKKOR 105mm f/1.4E ED or AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.4G ED with up to 5 stops of 3-axis VR image stabilization. NIKKOR lenses that already have VR, like the AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR, get the added benefit of roll axis for a total of 3-axis VR. Just add the optional Mount Adapter FTZ and you're good to go.

Compatible with a huge selection of NIKKOR lenses.

The Mount Adapter FTZ works with approx. 360 lenses in total, 90 of which are AF-S, AF-P or AF-I type and have full AF/AE capability.

Mount Adapter FTZ

The Mount Adapter FTZ lets you keep shooting the lenses you know and love while also gaining the benefits of the new Z system. Crafted from rugged Magnesium Alloy and weather-sealed against dust and moisture, the Mount Adapter FTZ preserves the durability of your camera body and lens. An integrated tripod mount keeps the stress of long lenses off the camera body.
