• When used with a D-series Digital SLR, it operates as a 300-600mm supertelephoto lens (35mm equiv.) to combine the function of four fixed focal length supertelephoto lenses into a single unit, and focal length of up to 1200mm is possible with the AF-S x2 teleconverter
• In addition to VR (Vibration Reduction) delivering the equivalent of shooting at a shutter speed three stops (eight times) faster, users can choose from [Normal] and [Active] modes
• VR system automatically detects panning and functions for panning and for vertical shake (An additional Tripod Vibration mode is also under consideration)
• Built-in SWM for fast, quiet AF
• New optical system features four ED glass elements that minimize chromatic aberration and produce high quality images
• The Focus Preset function automatically and instantly returns focus to the preset position
• Nine-blade rounded diaphragms for natural blur of out-of focus elements
• [M/A] and [M] modes allow rapid switching between AF and MF operation
