Many times when photographing a subject outdoors, harsh overhead sunlight causes heavy shadows to appear on the face. These can quickly and easily be diffused by placing a diffuser between the subject and the sun.

Eliminate reflections.
Placing a diffuser between a reflective product and your light source will soften unwanted highlights and harsh reflections.

Diffuse one stop.
This 1 stop diffuser is ideal for diffusing light in the early morning or light afternoon. This means you will be diffusing the light by one stop and can be measured by use of a light meter. 1 stop is the most commonly used fabric in the photographic and video industries.

Why are our diffusers square? Simple. They provide more surface area than a traditional round diffuser ultimately giving you more surface area to work with. As an added bonus, they won't roll away when not in use!

Purity at its finest.
Unlike many photographic diffusers found on the market, Westcott's diffusers are manufactured using a pure white fabric to insure no shift in color temperature. The light color going into the diffuser is the same light color that will go out of it.
