Overview
Godox LP 800X Pure Sine Wave Inverter allows you to take your studio strobes on the road or off the road without electricity and without noisy generators or bulky old-style inverters. The LP 800x weighs 15 lb including its battery and is able to deliver hundreds of full power flashes and thousands of partial power flashes depending on the pack or head. The lithium-ion battery which charges in 3.0 hours, separates from the power pack via large flip-locks so that you can swap out an optional spare. There are 3 USB ports available to power USB computers and other electronics.
Vistek has done some pretty thorough testing on this unit, with most of the flash units that we sell, and this is what we recommend while using this inverter:
Put your flash equipment into slow recycle mode, turn modeling lights on only when needed, we recommend that they be off while shooting, or set to a very low power if you need them for focusing. Carry extra fuses with you for the inverter, and your flash units.
