Samyang Optics 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO is a macro telephoto manual focus lens designed for full frame sensors. The maximum close-up magnification is 1:1. This macro lens with vivid colour and soft out-focusing is the best lens for close-up images. It is also an excellent 100mm telephoto lens for landscapes and portraits.

Optical Features

Samyang 100mm F2.8 ED UMC MACRO has a low F number of F2.8. This lens offers precision control when shooting under various exposure environments, including relatively dark or overly bright situations. 

This series features 15 lenses in 12 groups, including a high refractive lens (HR) and extra low dispersion lens (ED). Minimizing colour aberration and unnecessary light dispersion, you can achieve high resolution throughout the image. Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) of Samyang Optics is used to optimize the light penetration and minimize flare and ghosting. With such optical construction, it has 0.307m minimum focal length to film subjects at very close proximity. 

Hardware Features

There are 9 aperture blades designed to nearly form a full circle when the aperture is closed,clearly and beautifully resembling a star-like ray. The frame of the lens is compact and solid, as it is made of a high-strength aluminum alloy. Also, a detachable petal-shaped lens hood minimizes flare and ghosting by sheltering the lens from unnecessary lights.
