Nicholas Pan, Canadian Photographer (1971- ), Biography Nicholas Pan sees life through different eyes: passionate reality and inescapable romance, reflecting poetry and emotion, spirituality and necessity, surrounding nature and the special, vibrant, human world that consumes us in its light… He has often been described as a unique inspiration to our inner soul that constantly attempts to speak to us, providing an open window for following the path of our own, wandering journey, and it shows in his passion for capturing the emotion, thrills and intrigue of life, in a still image, a fotografia. At a very young and curious age, the romance of photography found him (in the form of a Kodak 35mm cartridge Instamatic with powder bulb flash!). He never looked back to question that unique moment of excitement, of holding a camera and becoming an eternal image-maker. From distant locales that beckon us, to nearby inspirations that we so often and easily overlook, his celebrations of life, his ‘fotografi-es’ will find a way to converse to your mind, whisper to your heart and speak to your soul. Nicholas Pan was born in 1971, grew up in Eleohorio, Achaia, Greece and Toronto, Ontario, Canada and currently resides in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. He is a celebrated, self-taught photographic artist and occasional writer, that began indulging with colour 35mm film photography and is now immersed in the wonderful digital realm. He is regularly inspired by fellow artists, the sun, sea and sky and travels extensively with a camera in hand, which is a mandatory part of his ‘raison d'être’.
