Shootout: Backpacks

Backpacks are the outdoor shooter’s mainstay. Shootout backpacks are available in multiple sizes, to accommodate camera/lens/ laptop setups ranging from basic to brutal, plus all the accessories. All styles except Daypack feature Tenba's exclusive MSTC™ tripod carrying system. Large and medium sizes are also available in wheeled versions.

Backpack

Water-repellent, dobby/diamond ripstop nylon shell – an optimum combination of light weight and durability. Special, YKK weather-sealed zippers keep the elements out. Compression straps prevent the load from shifting, and help keep the center of gravity as close to the body as possible. Jumbo, padded side pods can be used as separate accessory pockets or pass-through hatches for instant interior access. Exclusive, fully-adjustable, MSTC™ System securely accommodates all popular outdoor tripod types and sizes. Exclusive WeatherWrap™ cover included – the fastest, easiest auxiliary rain cover around. Adjustable web straps on pack bottom secure monopod, jacket or ground cloth. Fully adjustable, densely-padded divider panels and walls create a “custom-fit,” protective interior layout. Super-comfort harness system features expedition-grade complement of fit adjustments and load tuning. Included Media Wallet and Mobile Phone/MP3 Player Pouch feature removable security tethers.

Daypack

The Daypack is similar in size to the Small backpack, but instead of laptop sleeve, removable interior and tripod carrier, it gets Tenba's exclusive PackOUT™ pocket, which expands to provide approximately 240 additional cubic inches of “soft” storage space for lighter and non-fragile items like clothing, snacks, first aid supplies, etc. -- the kinds of things that are more important for a long day of trekking and shooting than laptop.

Sling Bag

The Tenba Shootout Sling bag is unique in its ability to be converted from a “quick-draw” shooting bag to a long lens bag configuration, offering incredible versatility, especially to sports and wildlife/outdoor photographers.

The Sling bag is carried on the back with a single, contoured and padded cross-chest strap rather than two shoulder straps. This design allows it to be instantly swung around in front of the photographer, providing immediate access to a primary camera with mounted lens, for fast shooting right out of the bag. Movable padded walls within the bag allow the “quick-draw” compartment to be fitted precisely to the main camera/lens combination, and also create additional spaces for extra bodies, lenses and accessories. These walls can be completely removed, turning the Sling into a vertically-oriented long lens bag. In this configuration, a pro D/SLR with mounted telephoto—up to 300mm 2.8 (also Canon 400mm 4.0 DO) for the medium Sling (depending on specific equipment used)—is loaded straight down through the bag via the large top door.
