The Hornet 200-C is a 150W Omni-Colour LED, weighing only 2.6lbs and only 9” long, with comparable output up to 700-1000W incandescent and 2.5X brighter than the original Wasp 100-C. This is the brightest single point source fully colour changing LED on the market. The Hornet 200-C features Hive’s Perfect S.H.O.T. system and omni-colour LED technology for complete control over a full spectrum of light, runs off a battery or universal wall power, and is compatible with hundreds of accessories.

The Hornet 200-C is not only Hive’s brightest LED, but its expanded LED array produces the widest colour gamut of any Hive light.

Using only 150 Watts, the HORNET 200-C is equivalent to a 650 – 1000W incandescent and 2.5X brighter than the original Wasp 100-C. This is the brightest single point colour changing LED in the world. With an expanded LED array, we not only increased output, but created the widest colour gamut of any Hive light.

By using a combination of secondary and tertiary coloured LEDS (Red, Amber, Lime, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Sapphire) Hive creates a more complete and even spectrum than traditional RGBW. A proprietary algorithm combines these 7 different colours into a brilliant white-balanced light and millions of saturated colour combinations. While traditional colour changing LEDs use 3 base colours or 2 “white” LEDs, Hive’s Hornet 200-C has far higher colour quality and far greater control than Bi-Colour or RGB LEDs.

Hive’s Perfect S.H.O.T.™ control system on the Wasp 100-C™ allows you to completely adjust the SATURATION, HUE, OUTPUT, AND COLOUR TEMPERATURE, to create the perfect lighting for any shot. S.H.O.T. controls can create millions of dimming and colour combinations to customize lighting for any production scenario. Perfect S.H.O.T. can be accessed on the fixture itself, or remotely via DMX or the free Hive smartphone app. 

Hive's upgraded Super Spot Reflector concentrates their brightest light for a long throw and high output. This accessory more than doubles the Hornet 200-C’s brightness. The Super Spot Parabolic Reflector can be modified with the Hornet 200-C 3-Lens Set (Medium, Wide, Super Wide). The barn door ears accept all 245mm (9.5 inch) accessories including speed rings, barn doors and lenses. When the Super Spot Parabolic Reflector is removed, the Hornet 200-C is a 180 degree flood light with a 100mm (4 inch) diameter that accepts all Profoto® accessories and Profoto® adapters for light modifiers from companies like Elinchrom®, Westcott®, Chimera® and many more. The possibilities are almost endless.
