People often ask me when they see me out taking pictures, "Are you a professional?" My answer is, "No. I am an not a professional. A professional makes the majority of their income from the sale of their photographs. I suppliment my income from the sale of my photos and running workshops where I teach people to get the most of their own photographic and editing equipment. I tell them that I am just an advanced, enthusiastic photographer that appreciates the beauty in capturing a moment in time, a moment in time that no one else saw except me. It could be as simple as a bird landing to the way an old bulding looks as the sun set behind it. Or a dramatic fireworks event to a wedding. I just love to take photos for peoples enjoyment and mentor budding photographers on one of my workshops."
