Professional around-the-ear, closed-back headphones, featuring collapsible design with swiveling earcups, & extended low end reproduction.

Rejection of outside noise is high, rated up to -32dB, and efficient Neodymium magnets contribute toward an extended dynamic range and high output. The thick, padded leatherette earcups and adjustable padded headband allow for a precise and comfortable fit during extended periods of studio recording and mixing.

Outstanding headphones
I listen to orchestral and instrumental music and these headphones deliver excellent and crisp sound quality. I researched a lot of sets before I purchased these and concluded that the audio these headphones produce is unmatched by any other set at this pricepoint. These headphones are absolutely amazing!

Excellent headphones, I wanted some closed over the ear headphones. I tried a few pairs over the couse of a week and becuase there was no try before you buy, I made sevral trips to various stores. Compared to the HD535's the bass is much fuller and staill maintains the clarity. The only downside is they fit fairly thght, maybe it will relax over time.

Amazing.
I have tried many headphones in the past (Bose, Sony, other Sennheisers, etc.), but the HD 280's are the best headphones money can buy for this price category. Out of the box they sound excellent, with the headphones themselves blocking out a lot of outside noise. I'd recommend these to anyone who need a really good pair of cans! 5 our of 5, no question.
