Audio Technica's AT897 is a line+gradient short shotgun condenser microphone, designed for video production and broadcast audio acquisition. It's short length ensures the mic stays out of the shot, even when used with compact digital cameras. Featuring smooth, natural-sounding on-axis audio quality it provides the narrow acceptance angle desirable for long-distance sound pickup with excellent sound rejection from the sides and rear of mic. Features switchable low-frequency roll-off and operates on battery or phantom power
