Low dispersion lenses decrease dispersion of unnecessary light, reducing the effects of aberration. - Glass aspherical lenses (AS)
The adaption glass asperical lenses reduce aberration to get a high quality image, from the center to the edge of the frame, maintaining excellent contrast. - Ultra multi coating (UMC)
Samyang applies the UMC(ultra multi coating) of their own technology to reduce flare and ghosting as much as possible, to get a clear and fresh colour image.
A specialist fish eye lens for these Micro four-thirds system
The 7.5mm F3.5 MFT Fish-eye fits with Panasonic Lumix G interchangeable lens series, and the Olympus E-P, E-PL series of mirror-less digital cameras. Samyang's newly developed fisheye offers exceptional optical performance, with an exceptionally wide angle of view, up to 180° diagonally. It gives a unique fish-eye perspective and is a veryuseful lens for making panoramic photographs and virtual tours, with 3rd party hardware and software.
While it is extremely compact, it successfully combines some of the best optical features and is comes in a stylish design, available in black and silver finishes.
The lens is constructed in 9 elements, arranged in 7 groups, with 6 aperture blades. It measures 48.3mm X 60mm, and is as light as 190g. The fixed, built-in lens hood helps to block flare from behind the lens.
When used with some camera models, including the Panasonic Lumix G series “Shoot W/O Lens” (Shoot without the lens) needs to be set to ON in the camera's menu to allow shooting with this lens.
